I feel so helpless :(

I took my bearded dragon to the vet on the 2nd July, he said she was really healthy, good length and size and weight was not a problem, She will be one year old at the beginning of September. But he then did a fecal check and he said the level of coccidia in her system was more than what it should be. He gave me the medicine BAYCOX to give her for 3 days, we gave her it and then this friday we have to take a fecal sample back to the vet so he can check it. He said if it is okay then we dont have to give her another round of medicine, however if it is still a problem then we have to give her the medicine again for 3 days. We stopped the medicine last monday and gradually since then to today she generally just is not her little sweet self. She has really lost her appetite and doesn't seem to be eating much at all :( she still basks and is alert and everything but she just wont eat much at all. Im starting to get really really worried as I have just read that when you give the dragon medicine to treat the parasite that it also wipes out their good bacteria too which explains her lack of interest in food and now I dont know what to do :( We live in the UK and would really appreciate if anybody could give me some advice? Maybe you yourself or you know somebody that has had this problem with this parasite?

You can get some plain soy yogurt and give it to her to replace the gut bacteria she has lost. Hope she feels better soon, meds can be so harsh on them:(

You should drip it on her nose, or syringe it gently into her mouth. I doubt she'll just eat it on her own.

We have just dripped some on her nose and she doesn't seem to be licking it off, will give it a couple of mins and if she doesn't then we will syringe it

We have just used the syringe to give her some yoghurt and hopefully she will be okay :)

That's good that you gave her some soy yogurt. Would be a good idea to give it to her twice a day but try to get to lick it off her nose first each time before squirting it directly in her mouth as it's less stressful to her that way.

Antibiotics are very drying and can cause dehydration so a good idea to give her a bath daily and to offer oral fluids.

Hope she feels better soon.

Yeah each time we offer it we are going to apply some on her nose first to see if she licks it off but if she doesn't we will have to keep squirting it until she gets more energy and her appetite back. Yeah she is having baths every day as well. Thank you very much for the help :) wouldn't have known about the yoghurt if you had not have said so thank you :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
