Yep he kinda does. A 1/2 hr later he puffed up in his bath. :lol: When I was removing the sani-chips (for tile) about 3 weeks ago he came down from his high perch to see what I doing upclose. He got real close to the scooping action, licked a few times. I moved him about 10" away, he sat there then puffed up! It was funny :mrgreen:morphmom":2hpzmbth said:LOL! :lol: Oh, yes! They can hiss and puff for all they're worth! :shock: It's used as a warning but it is extremely rare for a dragon to bite. VERY unlikely. It is more likely that your BD just has a bit of attitude 8)
Naw I was kinda surprised It reminded me of Doo Dah my ball python. One hot summer I had him outside and I went to pick him up he hissed and balled up. I had him for years and he only did it that one time. It was so cool! He finally lived up to the moniker "ball python".jsnsan":2hpzmbth said:Oh, I bet it startled you into next week :lol:
I've never had my beardie hiss at me, but I've had one of my geckos (fat tail) hiss at me when I startled her. It actually sounds like a sneeze when they do it. But oh my did it startle me.

Nope, but I'll keep that in mind. He was shedding skin on limbs and tail. I'll give him alone time during sheds as I've found out. Funny reads on shedding bd's 'tudes :lol:Askele":2yqn05yf said:Well, beardies hiss alright. Maybe you held the cricket a little to high over his head, and that made it look like a predator.
I thought that's what that meant! Huh, I learned something... :study:joea":3gu3brfb said:Yep thats what I thought. {rudy spam boy}
My beardie used to hiss and yes bite me on a regular basis...I was advised by many on this site to be patient, understanding but to show him no fear, so he knows who is boss...I was very discouraged...BUT...I have to say ... I followed everyone's advice and after 1 month, Amadeus is fun...I can now hold him and pet him without being bitten...he is lots of fun...he still hisses occasionally when he doesn't want to be disturbed, but it's very rare....Thanks everyone for all the encouragement...I love my beardie....morphmom":2lr5ddps said:LOL! :lol: Oh, yes!
