Some of them do bring their pets! There was this one table, and behind it passed out in this comfy circular chair was a pretty golden retriever!! I laughed, but the dog just snoozed on! But once Newt gets up in size I'm sure I'll be totin' him around as much as I can!! haha
....roaches huh....well I'm sure Ripley, Newt, and Nostromo don't mind crickets mealworms and the occasional waxworm....no matter HOW GOOD they may be...I just -shudders- cannot have roaches...can't do it....oie my skin is crawlin just thinkin about 'em....-shudders again- but hey if they work for you...

I agree with you, we won't do roaches, either. I'm willing to think about it but because of where my husband lived when we first met, roaches are not going to happen.
I cant wait to feed Newt horn worms though!
by the way, Newt Ripley and Nostromo are ALL FEMALES!!! oie...
but as for my two sisters disrespecting my love for reptiles, and everyone else treating me like Im crazy, I still get mad but Im starting to get over it. It still hurts, but sometimes you just gotta let it go
I have a family member {adult nephew} who when I'm holding one of my dragons will say "there's one of those pairs of baby moccasins". He says it 'cause he thinks it gets my goat....well it DOES!, but I never let him know it. I just laugh and say "NOT!...you wouldn't understand cause you have to have some intelligence to appreciate bearded dragons"....he just laughs, and I laugh and it's over. But he won't touch them either. I think he's a bit afraid of them and that is so satisfying! :laughhard:

Everyone on my FB loves when I post pictures of my girl. Since I am a barrel racer I posts a lot of pictures of my horse and when we are racing. But everyone asks how my girl is doing, and if I have some new pics of her. Come xmas when we have all kinds of people here they will want to see Booger. Of course she has to make her appearance. My mom when I just got Booger didn't want to be around her, but she had to take care of her for 5 days when I was gone, now everytime I have her out grandma has to see and pet her. Beardies get to people, not sure how but they have a way, if people would just look at them and see how they inter act with people they would fall in love with them too.
A few years ago, my ex-mother in-law came over with my oldest daughter for a visit. I hadn't seen the in-law for quite awhile so I though it would be nice. She came in, looked around, spotted my dragon and exclaim "OH, HOW DISGUSTING"
It really ticked me off but it wasn't worth picking a fight over, I knew it would be the last time she was ever allowed in my house. I bet she really would have freaked if she would have went in the back room. I had 8 snakes and over 35 tarantulas at the time.
Thats pretty funny  . I bet your dragon was highly offnded by that "Im not disgusting, im quite civilised in fact. Outsiders, they never understand us"
We brought my dragon into school. Everyone loved him!, a few were a bit scared to touch him but they realised he is quite a friendly dragon. he loves attention!.
Sigh. I hate when people are like that. I remember when I took my dragons of vacation with me and we sat outside a restaurant to eat and one woman when she walked out saw them and made the most disgusted and shocked face and I was like "Wow you have never seen a lizard before....."

I was telling another owner of a bearded dragon she once had. She can't wait to see Allie. A waitress overheard me and asked me what a bearded dragon is. I told her it's a lizard with a beard, spikes on the side, and they look cute. She said she never heard of one and didn't believe there were such things as Bearded Dragons. I told her you can find them in certain pet stores...but never told her you can get one from a breeder. I almost told her to google bearded dragons, but I didn't. I'll let her find out by herself.
Sounds bad if he bites. Mine bit me once by accident when I was feeding her. I haven't loaded new pictures yet, but I intend to put some up along with her jumping in mid-air out of excitement.
well my dad found charlie last year during august and my parent and family friend*that also loves reptiles) thinks whoever had him last didnt mess with him when he was young. the more you mess with them when they are young the calmer they will be. i cant get him out for awhile on my own because i broke my foot/ i have to ask someone to get charlie out for me. want to see a pic of him?
