I bought adhesive shelf liner by accident

I’m re-doing my beardie’s cage and I ordered some shelf liner off of amazon. It arrived last night and I unboxed it and of course I ordered adhesive instead of non adhesive.

Can I still use it if I don’t peel the paper off the back of it and attach it to the floor some other way? I also won’t be using it for his basking spot. The basking spot is 10” off the floor and the floor ranges from 70-75 degrees (80 max).

I’d like to use it if I can instead of wasting my money or having to return it, though if it is dangerous no matter what then I won’t.

It's probably fine as long as it doesn't heat up too much but if you don't feel 100% safe better to get the non adhesive type.
