I am worried about my new little guy

Hello I am a new beardie mom we purchased our little guy, Homer from Petco we didn't handle him much at first so he could get used to his new home and now he seems comfortable and I have started handling him and I have noticed a yellow scab at the base of his tail it's been there more than a week. He seems happy he is eating and deficating normally. We do not use an electric heating rock/pad or anything like that.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi. Imo that looks like yellow fungus. Don't give him baths as it'll spread. You can put antifungal cream on. Like monostat or lamisil. I would also take him to the vet as they can help you treat it just incase it gets worse and it may not be yellow fungus. Maybe petco would pay for the vet as he most likely picked it up there.
