My name is Jubal, 25 years old, just recently got into the beardie game.

I bought my first beardies a few months ago...I am getting a divorce and my wife hated reptiles of all varieties so I decided I should get some.

This is Phenom:

He is a sandfire x citrus mix....I think...the herp store owner and I can't be sure since we don't know the parents.

This is Saphira:

I have no idea what she is but she and Phenom love each other so I bought them as a pair.

This is no name:

I got her (maybe she's a her) yesterday and haven't really observed her personality enough to give her a name. I found her at a random mall pet store for like $80 and I am fairly certain she is full Sandfire, but again not knowing the parents I don't know...I do know she has great coloring and pattern for her size (9 inches snout to tail)

In addition to these three beardies I have 4 Anole, which were actually my first venture into the reptile world, and a Sambava Panther Chameleon.

Hello Jubal and Welcome,

Nice dragons you have there!!!

I would like to comment on the housing of the two older dragons. Bearded dragons are solitary and territorial creatures. You may want to consider separating your two adults. They may seem fine now, but you could run into a problem later with them. One could become dominant causing the other one to not thrive properly. They could also fight which could lead to a tail nip, toe nip or even worse.

How old are your older dragons?

Dawn :D

Hi and welcome to the family, Jubal !
I would like to add to Dawns' posting, early breeding can harm or kill the young lady !
It is always best to house each dragon individually. These are solitary animals, by their own nature.
I am sure if you read a bit through the threads here you will see dragons who were maimed horribly by viv mates, siblings , mates. I wouldn't want you to have to go through that anguish or the dragons that experience !
Janie.

The two adults are both around 2 and have been housed together since before I purchased them. I have had no issues with fighting or anything like that I also let them spend several hours a day just wandering the house (of course making sure there is nothing to harm them) and they seem to be doing fine. In the event of any problems arising I will of course separate them. Having done extensive research before purchasing any of my lizards everything I have seen thus far has been along the lines of "Typically social; bearded dragons of similar size can be housed together, but should be monitored."

This book was very helpful in getting started:

As for the the juvenile; she won't be bred until she is at least 2.

Hi Jubal, welcome to the forum. It looks like you are now a "beardie slave" like the rest of us. They have great names and a variety of coloring.

So, you've only had them for 2 months? Did you get them all from the same place? You must be working hard on getting them all fattened up, which can take a little time. Do you happen to know if Saphira had been breed recently? She actually looks like she may have not had everything she needed prior to you getting her, looks thin and dehydrated. Have you thought about taking a fecal sample to be checked or taking her for a check up? Her coloring also looks erratic. I recently lost a beardie and I know they can go downhill very quickly, so I was concerned that she looks kinda weak. All of us here have a big passion for beardies and do everything we possibly can to help new members.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
