I am completely owned!!!

So I never thought that i would have a "pet" that would own me. Luke is my beardie and i am under complete control. I get up at 6am every morning for breakfast cause thats when he wakes up. About 10 or so roaches and then a mix of carrots mustard and collard greens. Freshly cut of course. Along with changing the water and cleaning up whatever mess he has created. Takes me to about 630 or so. To do it right. So after all this what do I get in return? A nice big poop to clean up every morning. I am not complaining at all because he wont go to sleep without being on my chest at night and he loves to be around me just hanging out. I cherish the quality time with him as well. I just never thought as a 38 year old man i would ever be a slave to anything. Just thought that i would share.

I am 59 and, have the same issue with my dragon. Only difference is, mine waits till I leave for work to poop so my wife has to clean it up. Not sure if it's modesty or she just likes to aggravate my wife, lol!

As a tough no nonsense retired principal engineer from the steel industry and a curmudgeon in all things - I too confess I'm am owned by two beardied dragons and two bluetongue skinks and in summer by the gang of wild water skinks who live under my house, in my shed, in my garden .... they all have me very well trained welcome fellow slave.
