So today I found out that compact UVB lights aren’t good for beardies. I had one on my beardie and I just ordered a new one that’ll be here by the 4th (I think). What do I do for this week? Do I just leave the compact on him and hope for the best? Or do I turn it off? Thank you!!

Which one do you have now? How far is it from the basking area? They just tend to not be powerful enough. I'd leave it on until the replacement arrives. Which one did you order?

I have a reptisun compact right now. I ordered a reptisun 10.0. It’s pretty close to a stick he likes to bask on, but I don’t have an exact measurement. I moved it because I heard it hurts their eyes, so it’s not directly on top of his basking spot anymore.

Is the ReptiSun 10 you are getting a T8 or a T5? A T8 should sit 6-8'' above the basking site and a T5 should sit around 12'' above the basking site for optimal output.
