Hello,
Do you have any pictures you could post for us, that would greatly help out.
If that area is raw, you could try getting some unpasteurized honey or silver gel to put on the
area to help it heal up.
Could she have suffered a burn somehow, what is the distance from her to the basking light?

She is in a 40 gal and it’s the long tube brand new it is placed on the screenThat looks like damage from glass surfing or rubbing her face on decor. What size habitat is she in and please go over your lighting setup. What type of uvb are you using, is it coil/compact or long tube, how old is it, where is it placed (on the screen or under). What are you using for basking, what are the temos and how are you getting them. The lighting is critical to there well being and behavior. Are you sure about her age? If she where gravid she would likely glass surf, but 9 months is young to be gravid.
If you can, post pics of you setup, especially the lighting, if something is off a bit we can help you get it on point.

When you get the UVB please post on here I will help you get it set up for your tank --- it looks like it will be able to go on top of the screen --All bulbs are brand new
