I live on the coast of nj so I am suffering from the power outage from the storm. My beardie Bart is about 7 months. Crickets are still his main diet over veggies. I have been able to keep him warm with hot water baths, hot water bottles, and by my own body warmth. But no pet stores have been open since Sunday preventing me from being able to feed my little guy. I have hand fed him a few meal worms I had in the fridge but that was all I had. We are going on day 4 now and I am really concerned for Bart's health. He's very lethargic and still, probably because he is chilly but I just don't want to be starving him to death.

Any advice on how to get him some protien or food into him? Please help.

For right now, I would say your best bet would to buy baby food, the chicken or squash kind. Even if you could order some feeders offline, they wouldn't be there for a few days. And I don't know with the weather the way it is how many people are shipping the feeders out. The chicken has the protein in it that your dragon needs.

For warmth, we weren't sure what we were supposed to do either. That was one of the main things we were worried about. The pet store told us that the one of the only things they could think of besides a generator would be the hot hands hand warmers. I honestly don't think it would do much but they might help out some if only a little. We ended up buying a camping heater though we didn't need to use it. I'm sorry,I can't think of anything else. Maybe someone else could offer more advice then I did.

I don't believe they should eat regular feeders if they are unable to bask at regular temps for digestion. Baby food is easier to digest. Get some stage 1 meat (turkey or chicken) and stage 1 veggies (squash, green beans).
