It is so very stressful! He is a large juvenile, I got him in mid January, and was told he was about two and a half months old. So November sometime he should be a year old. I actually really just moved him to superworms, I had tried mealworms, but my refrigerator freezes them. My reptile store had run out of crickets and weren't sure when/if they'd be getting more with the storm approaching. They said it could be at the earliest next Friday before they start getting shipments. I made sure to get plenty of veggies as well, we should start getting hit Sunday morning/afternoon, should I refrain from feeding him tomorrow in case the power does go out? We received a call from the power company saying it's very possible we could lose power for 7-10 days. They have said they are sending extra support to get everything up as fast as possible, but i am just totally panicked for my sweet Gryffindor. I was going to give him a good
bath today, before we have to fill the tub with water. If his lights go out, should I still make sure he's getting plenty of water?

Hi Emily.....I really feel for all the people + pets in these hurricane situations. Your dragon should be fine with no lights since you live in a warm + sunny area . Just take him outside or let him sit in an open window [ with the screen in place ] and he'll get some good uvb. Where ever you are at, just let him have access to sunshine every couple of days. Baby dragons are more delicate but if in good health should do O.K with this routine. Sub adult + adult dragons can do just fine without uvb for a week or more, babies are more needy.
BTW, I assume your dragon is a large juvenile or adult since you mentioned superworms as the food item.. Don't feed your dragon too much if he doesn't have access to a hot [ 95 -100 ] basking spot for a couple of hours ]
