Hump

Last week I noticed he had a small hump on his back (around the same time I posted he was not eating).
He ate a little bit and is shedding now so not really eating again.
What do you think the hump could be ? Not really affecting his movement, he still likes to be held, have his back rubbed etc.

Its probably the beginning of metabolic bone disease, what kind of UVB do you have?

Right now he has a EXO TERRA 150W Daylight lamp but I also have an unused ESU Reptile 150 Watt Incandescent day lamp.

Those bulbs are for heat only, you have no UVB which a dragon absolutely must have. Get a reptisun 10.0 fluorescent tube and make sure your dragon can get at least 6 inches away from it. It must be a reptisun, not a reptiglo or some other cheaper brand.
Lack of UVB will also effect apatite so you should see a improvement once you get the reptisun.

No that is a coil and one of the worst bulbs out their. I would use the reptisun 10.0 UVB!

No, that isn't a good one either. You need the long bulb, like this.

and yes, you will need 2 bulbs, one for heat and one for UVB.

Oh poor guy, hopefully you are able to get the Reptisun ASAP before the MBD gets any worse...keep us updated on him!

I think I will buy the 18" or 24" fluorescent bulb.
Where do I buy the mounts (the things they plug into!) for these ?

I have him on a vitamin dust with d3

Walmart or any hardware store. Also you need to dust with calcium 5 times a week and the vitamins the other 2 days. Once a day.
