Hello all,
I have a baby beardie (about 2 months), her name is Mojo. Anyway, I have been sick for 2 weeks now and every morning when I wake up my throat is on fire and I can't breathe and I feel like I just rolled around in as bunch of sand. I got a vaporizer and I'm wondering (it puts off very little steam) if I put it in my door way (did that last night and I woke up feeling normal for the first time in weeks) if you think it would be ok for my beardie? It's about 30-40 feet away from the tank and I have a large stand up fan blowing, not on the tank but right before it with a night time light to help her stay warm and lower humidity.
I have an acu-rite hygrometer being shipped here as we speak and can always get a mini dehumidifier to put inside the tank. I was also looking at lockdown rod dehumidifier (it's for gun cases) and I'm wondering if this would be ok to put in the tank. I'm thinking now because it say 220 volt which I don't want to have any accidents so I'm just wondering if anyone else has used this.
So my options:
Suffer in sickness with no vaporizer (But at least she'll be ok, lol)
Get a small fan to place on top of tank going into the viv.
Get a dehumidifier for the viv.
Or do both of the last two things.
Or just leave the big fan in front of her tank blowing whatever vapors come her way.
ALSO: Does anyone else use electric/vapor cigarettes?? I vape and I've just made sure to not take up her air space with it and either does it not around her or blow it elsewhere. Mainly she's always sleeping in my shirt so she restricts her own air.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've spent so much money so far to make her happy and healthy and safe. Driven hours to get the right stuff from her and gotten a 40 gal tank because people just want to sell stuff instead of actually being helpful and tons of stuff I didn't need so I don't want more things that I don't need. I can't believe Pet Smart actually sold me protein sand for a 1 1/2 month old beardie. I could kill them. Grrr!!! Thank you for any helpful knowledge about this because I can't wait a week to use this vaporizer.
