Hugo is 4 months old today!!

Hugo is my dragon from Rio Reptiles. Today at 4 months he weighs 239 grams, and 15" long. Finally, he is loving is veggies. He is visiting his new 4x2x2 viv. I am still tweeking the temps, and basking light. But, he should be moved in by this weekend. I am using the Arcadia T-5 D3 12% bulb, and really liking the way it brightens the viv. Also using a solar meter to set up the basking area. :wink:

Moved into his new 4x2x2 viv. Actually, it went well. He started eating his veggies right away, and no stress marks. Still need to tweak his furnishings. Probably will get big piece of driftwood to put in the middle. His new basking spot is 12x12. That should be sufficient. He is getting between 60-75 UVB from the Acardia bulb, depending on where he sits. Temps are good...105 basking, and 75 on the other side. I am glad the transition went well.

Michelle, it was made by CustomCages.com. It takes to people to put together, and move....but I am loving it!! Most dragons don't like the glass sides, but Hugo sits right there, so he can watch me on the computer. The front has sliding glass doors. So it is much easier to get him out, now. Thanks!

Oh, I love that song. Oh, yes that is a good song for Hugo. Playing it now.
The Acardia T-5 D3 12% is perfect for this size. I have mine mounted at the top, in the front. I am getting great UVB readings. The readings diminish on the cold side, simulating shade.

I have a Solar Meter 6.2. It will also help in determining when I will need to replace the bulb. Manufacturer states that these bulbs will last a year, but I will be able to know when it is time. I have a base reading, and when it drops 30%, then I will replace it. :wink:

Day 2 in new Viv...Boy, did I speak too soon. :shock: Hugo is very hyper today..like all over the place. He has eaten, pooped, been outside on the floor, and this is what he is doing, right now. He will calm down and bask, and then run all over the place in his new home.

Poor little guy!!! Shedding, new home, stress, and loose poop (high count of Coccidia)!!! Considering all those factors, he looks settled in...finally. Still eating good, and gaining the weight.
