I don't see why you can't make an L shaped viv using that corner. You can have one side with the basking and just use a bright light on the other side. Depending on the wattage of the bulb, it can help keep that side a bit warm. More running room can't be a bad thing, LOL

how long did this take you? cause based on the size of Koopas tank now.. I need to upgrade asfast as pssible!
hes over 16 in. and heres his current tank!

Poor boy squished in that tank. He will be ok until you can build his bigger one though.
I know there was a post here where someone made a corner viv. Just can't find it.
