my bearded dragon is 8 months old and we have had him for almost 2 weeks now. but recently he hasn't been eating that much and he has not been moving much. today he stayed under his log the entire day with his eyes kinda closed, there is food right next to his mouth and he hasn't eaten the entire day or yesterday, he doesn't want to eat. we know he is alive because he slightly opens his eyes when we walk by and watches us. the temp of his cage is 95 degrees fahrenheit. we think he is brumating. Do you think so? thanks :D also if he is then what should we do about him not eating?

Too young to be allowed to brummate if under 12 months old.

Temperatures ? (cool zone , warm zone , basking spot)
How are measuring the temperatures exactly ?
Photoperiod ?
what exactly is the UV and how is it installed (where, how far from basking spot) ?
how old is the UV ?

Hello,

At 8 months of age, it is a big possibility he is bromating or at least partially bromating.
Let's review your tank setup just to be sure everything is all correct.
What type of thermometer do you use for measuring his temperatures? He will need a
range of 95-1105F for basking with a cooler end of around 78-82F or so.
What type/brand of UVB light do you have, is it a long tube fluorescent tube bulb or a
small compact/coil light?
Since you have had him for 2 weeks, he should be pretty well settled into his new home.
Feel free to post pictures of him along with the tank setup too.
A lot of dragons this time of year are either still bromating, or are attempting to come out
of brumation & are still sleepy.
Sorry, I posted at the same time. :D

Hi thanks for the suggestions they were helpful! You guys wanted details so here is my cage setup: i have a dual lamp setup for the uv light and basking light and right next to that is a red nightlight for him here are pics of the thermometers i had 2 so i put them both on the same side (that was a mistake on my part) but the cool side is 79F degrees here are pics:

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
