how to put a lease on a easily stressed beardy

my beardy loves to run around outside his tank the problem is he cant. i dont want him getting understuff and lost so i got him a lease so he can wear it and get to hang outside he is very easily stressed and gets agresive when he is stressed. so how can i get him to not freakout and let me put the lease on him

You can try outfitting him with the lease closer to bedtime, when he's more calm and won't care as much. Then as he gets used to the motion of you putting the lease on during the night, you can switch to the day time and hopefully he won't freak out over it.
