I tried making the most of the sun for the last few days so i got Bo outside, the thing is she clings onto dear life and stares up at the sky wary of predators, but i'd like her outside to get natural sunlight but i also don't want her getting stressed. Is there a way i can make her more comfortable being outside?

Thanks in Advance

I have an old bird cage that I use when I take Moko outside. I put a comfy blanket in there for him to lay on. It gives him and me a piece of mind. Nothing can get to him and he cant escape. It works out great for us.

My bird cage is still in use :)

she goes all stiff when she sees the sky and won't let go of me, would it be something she might get used to? ...being outside

Moko did. He was all stressed and really dark when I started taking him out. He would cling to me like that and still does cling when I take him out of the cage but without the stress marks. She will get use to it and will soon loves being out in the natural sun. :D

Zoom Zoom has a little of the same problem with outside. At first she seems scared and I leave her on my shirt and sit in the sun. After about 1/2 hour or so she is o.k. to sit on the ground. Yesterday, I had to leave her on the ground at first so I could take care of something, my husband was outside but fixing our house skirting. I told her "If you get scared, don't run away, run to daddy" When I got outside, I saw Speedy decide to travel away from the house and Zoom Zoom ran to her daddy and climbed up his leg (he was wearing jeans). Our little girl is a very smart one! She understood what I said and trusted us and ran to her dad. After that, I sat in the sun with her on my chest and after a while, she wanted off me, it turnes out she needed to poop. She was o.k. after that to sit in one of our tree wells and wander a little.

Oh Lord! I'm so glad you brought this up Robotrooster! I took my little fella outside yesterday as we're having beautiful (but abnormal) weather here in Ireland. First, his eyes got really HUGE  then he went completely stiff and black bearded! Then he scrambled up onto my neck and dug in really hard...I still have marks. I was so surprised because he stomps around our house like he owns it :)
But I perseveredand took him out again earlier today but kept him on my shoulder and kept talking to him and stroking him (God KNOWS what the neighbours think) then I moved him to my lap when he'd calmed down a bit. He was still like  but no out-and-out panic like yesterday. So I figure I'll take him out for a little longer each day and see how we go... Keep me posted on how your baby gets on! :)

By the way, we always make sure to put a leese on my girls before we take them outside, in case they pannic and run away, you may not find them again if that happens.

beardies can only sprint in short runs so they shouldnt get that far :)

I always stick a leese on my boy too.... he can be frighteningly fast when he's spooked. I've heard too many stories about missing beardies...Plus we have foxes, feral cats and numerous birds of prey frequenting our garden so he's staying VERY close to me!

Took us a few weeks to get Chimera used to outside but he still watches for anything above him he freaks out of a plane flys over. Right now all the birds are making nests around here so its a  time for them. Zero is in pancake mode the whole time. But if anyone walks up BAM!! hes all beard and puffed up. We just talk to them coo to them pet them to get them relaxed. The bird cage idea is awsome ill have to try and get one or more for outside safe trips while i do yardwork.

This is what stress marks look like This is a few days i think after we got her.

Don't kid yourself on how far and how fast a beardie can run if the get spooked outside. I've seen it happen. Luckily we had a happy ending but my boys are much more cautious now.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
