I rescued yet another baby beardie, & I'm pretty sure this poor little guy has MBD. Let me start off by saying, he does already have an appointment for Friday morning at my herp vet, but that is the first day I have off to take him, so, I'm wanting to know what I can do to help him until then? I just got him yesterday from the store I work at (I work in the grooming salon) because he was deemed unsaleable due to the hump in his back. I believe he was sent to our store way too young (as I believe most of them are) seeing as he is about 4-5 inches now & has been at the store for 2 weeks. I had hoped someone else would rescue him seeing as I've taken in 2 other rescues in the last month, but it didn't seem anybody would, & I couldn't stand it any longer. He seems active but hasn't eaten since I took him, hence, the slurry on his face in the pictures. I'm syringe feeding him a mixture of chicken baby food (just chicken) mixed with a spinach, zucchini, & peas baby food (just those ingredients) mixed with pedialyte to keep him hydrated & plenty of liquid calcium. Luckily, he ate about half a syringe earlier. He's got his basking light & UVB/UVA light. Both are sills brand, but his UVB/UVA will be changed to a reptisun 10.0 tomorrow & he will be getting a powersun bulb for his basking side when I get paid on Thursday. I'm going to try to upload some pictures. Oh, & he is in a 10 gallon glass tank with screen top until Thursday when I can get the more powerful bulb when he will be moved to a 20 gallon until he's big enough for a 40 gallon. He is on reptile carpet also. I'd really appreciate any advice on how I can hopefully help him make it through this & get him stronger. Thank you.
