Have you actually treated the coccidia?? Your dragon needs medication to kick it, not just a cage cleaning. It doesn't just live in the cage and then hop on to her, it's living inside her and needs to be killed with medication. Just in case it's not clear, don't pour bleach into your beardie though. If your vet didn't give you meds, he's not a very good vet. Ask around here for what to use to treat coccidia.

I don't know if there was any need to get so upset. With that being said, you could go to www.beardeddragon.co and order cleaner specially made to do exactly what you're trying to do with the bleach. Sorry, but the bleach won't do it in most cases.

I hope your baby feels better and you're able to get rid of it from the enclosure.

The members here are trying to help and there is no reason to get rude which is NOT tolerated on this forum.

You mentioned that your beardie is on meds for the coccidia, have you been giving him/her a probiotic to help restore the good gut flora that the antibiotic destroys? If not, that could be one of the reasons for the lethargy, stomach is upset and doesn't feel good. What was the coccidia count, did the vet tell you? What antibiotic did she give you?

Ask your vet about ponazuril. It's one of the most effective drugs against coccidia. My BD's coccidia disappeared after two treatments.

You can also acquire testing kits, medication, and cleaning supplies for exactly what you're trying to fix at the website I mentioned earlier. The prices are very reasonable and come with great step by step instructions. Also, as mentioned by diamc a probiotic is a great idea. Poor baby could just be having trouble adjusting to the meds and it could take a while to get back to normal eating habits.

We are all here to help you and most of us have learned from experience (sometimes the hard way). Hope to get an update soon and hope your baby is feeling better!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
