Hi, so my bearded dragon I got last may does not eat vegetables. I know it's my mistake I kinda gave up for a while after seeing her pretty much always ignore them, but I've been trying again. She's around 10 months old, 17.5 inches long. What I've tried of late is leaving them out and not feeding her roaches in the morning only at night. She still hasn't touched them.

She will only eat a vegetable such as a blueberry or piece of carrot or pepper if I move it around by her face. It's like she only would eat them if they move. And she doesn't give collared greens or dandelion greens a second look even if I move those infront of her.

I think it is gonna be very difficult to get her to eat salad :/ I've also put Phoenix worms in her salad, and she manages to just pick out the worms and leave the salad still.

Keep offering it, maybe try reducing the amount of bugs you feed. Lots of protein in an adults diet isn't healthy anyway. Can cause gout, kidney stones, and kidney damage.

When I read that your baby would pick out the worms I had to laugh. My young one already knows how to do that lol.
The only thing I can think of is to not give up, always offer them and switch things up with the veggies.
It's already been mentioned that as an adult they don't need so many bugs so you definitely can lower those.
Hopefully, eventually they'll start eating them lol. Good Luck!

My bearded dragon was exactly the same way. We tried several items and the only thing she seems to like was the yellow dandelion flowers from the yard and basil leaves, and did not eat much. She would only eat crickets. Then when she hit 10-11 months all the sudden she started turning her nose up to crickets and would gobble down salads morning, noon and night. Still, a lot of times I'll hand feed her the first one or two pieces of her salad, then put the rest down and she'll eyeball it as I put it down, then run over and eat. Now she is about 13 months old and prefers salad more than insects (crickets/roaches). Fluker Farms somehow shipped me a full grown spider with 75% of my cricket orders and Monster really loved chasing them down.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
