How to feed cactus pad leaf?

So, I came across some cactus pad leaves at a specialty store. Awesome! Then I get it home and I'm thinking... how do I feed this thing to him? lol
It's got little black not-really-prickley things on it... do I scrape all those off? Do I cut the leaf into small chuncks for him? Do I remove the skin of the leaf? Or do I just chop it up and throw the whole thing in there like that?

Hi there!

Yup, cut the skin/prickley parts off by cutting across the surface of the pad with a sharp knife (be careful!).

Then chop the cactus up into bite-sized pieces - you can either serve it raw, or boil it a little bit to soften it up.
