How to convince someone dubias aren't bad

I plan to go to my moms house for spring break. I plan to bring my beardie and my roach colony so she has some food. My mom is okay with dubias. My stepdad on the other hand is paranoid that they will escape and infest the house. I have tried to convince him they aren't like house roaches, but he's still paranoid. Any ideas on how I can convince him?

Maybe tell him they are baby crickets. or are you able to keep them outside?

Tell him that 9 out of 10 Dragon prefer them!
The can't climb out of something none porous.
They can not infest a house (temps required for breeding are not possible in a home).
They don't smell.
They don't make noise.
Tell him to grow a set, lol! Its just a bug, lmao!!!!!!!!

Heck, you could keep it quiet and, don't tell them you have them at all.

Could you do crickets or BSFL for the break?

Otherwise I would suggest seeing if he is okay bring just enough for the stay, useing a secure container and double up with the container in a larger tub to prevent escapees.

While they don't do as well in our homes they can live a long time in those conditions. It's unlikely but possible they could breed though not to infestation levels unless the house is gross. Regardless, I'm sure It would be game over if any got out and discovered.
