How old is your BD? Mine is almost 9 (w/pic)

Hi folks, I haven't been on in quite a while, but just realized the BD I got when I joined this forum, Goldie, is closing in on 9 years old. She is very healthy and alert and pretty much lived on Superworms, green beans or corn most of that time. No special powders, supplements or anything else. Living in a super dry state probably helps too. She brumates usually once a year for several weeks. What is the average age for them to live in captivity? Here is a pic of her and her "pal" Cricket, named after the crickets she would stare at for hours when "Goldie" was still eating them.

Goldie is beautiful & congratulations for having a 9 year old dragon. Their average time in captivity is 8-12 years, so she is having a long life at 9. I am sure she will be around quite awhile longer, too.

Cricket is now 6 I think, close to 7. When the time comes for her to go, it will be a VERY sad day in this household. She is the greatest little cat we have ever had, and we have had several. She LOVES everybody, including Beardies.

What a beautiful girl you've got there and it sounds like you are taking wonderful care of her beings she's 9. That is such an adorable pic of her and Cricket.

As for the ages of our dragons, Yoshi and Grendel were both gotten from pet stores, so we don't have exact ages. However, We know Yoshi is a little over a year since we've had him since August 2011. Grendel we really don't have an idea how old he is, but we are guestimating between 1-3 years old. Aurora we got from a breeder in November 2011 and she was 4 months at that time. So she is now 14 months.

My little one is only two months and I'm already totally crazy about her/just spent the last of my budget for a while on an order of phoenix worms for her. Zeppelin was 8 when he passed away. Xena only lived a year because he was sick.

Sorry for the delayed response Kaleen. Haven't given her vitamins or calcium for several years now. Not sure what mbd is. If it's something bad, I doubt she has it. I think a lot of her health comes from living in a very dry state, low humidity state.
