Not that you HAVE to say your age, but I am just curious.. I LOVE my beardies to death, and am getting my first female one soon. I see all these posts on here, and I thought I was the only 'adult' that owns a beardie, but now I think otherwise..

So I am proud to say I am 39 and own 2 beardies and soon to have a 3rd....

I was just curious at the age ranges of people who own these awesome guys....

I've always had dogs and cats, and didn't even know what a bearded dragon was until about 4 years ago. My friend in FL bought one, and I went to visit.. then over the next 4 years she acquired 3 more, and now has 4.. I never thought I could love these things so much! So in December I bought my first one.. and February my 2nd... and now in May my 3rd one! And that's it! But I can see me being a 70 old lady having bearded dragons... I really can!!

I HATE TO ADMIT IT, BUT I AM MORE ATTACHED TO THESE GUYS THAN I AM MY DOGS AND CATS.. How does this happen?? I think they put some kind of spell on us!

I'm 27 - not really anything interesting about that age. Another one who has always liked lizards, but was never able to have one for various reasons. Now, I wonder why I didn't push harder when I was a kid... (Though it wouldn't have worked until I was at least 9 - before then, the woman who took care of my brother and me wouldn't have put up with it. She had a terrible lizard phobia. )

I can honestly say that up until the last year I had no idea bearded dragons even existed! Growing up with severe allergies I can safely say that I'm allergic to just about every creature with hair..lol Some dogs I can tolerate and thankfully my allergies have changed as I've gotten older so most dogs I can be around.. I've never been a reptile person.. Never liked snakes or anything of that nature but when I was in the 6th grade my science teacher had an iguana and every since then I wanted one.. After talking to a friend that has always been a huge animal expert and works in a pet store he conviced me that I no longer wanted an Iguana but a bearded dragon.. Sooo after hours upon hours and months of research and I finally decided to get one and that was by far the best decision ever! I'm hooked and now I want another one! lol My family thought i was crazy at first b/c there again no one in my family including me has ever had an interest in reptiles.. But now I think it's safe to say that they are ok with it now..lol Ok enough rambling.. My name is Ashleigh.. I'm 26yrs old and I have a problem... I'M ADDICTED TO BEARDED DRAGONS..

29 years old, grew up on a lot of land and always had big dogs, cats, hamsters, g-pigs, and even fish as a kid. Now I live in a friggin' townhouse and was dying for a pet that could fit my lifestyle. My baby beardie doesn't shed, bark, poop on the rug if I'm late coming home, or attack the neighbors. She does, however, give me the same feeling of fascination and interaction that my past pets have- without the allergic reactions. BD 4 LIFE! This is her btw:

I am 46 and as of now I am the oldest to reply to your thread, but not the oldest member on here, LOL
There are actually quite a few (longtime)members here in their 40's and 50's. :D I am not naming any names though  :silent:

I'm 39 and have owned reptiles on and off since grade school. I also have a snake and multiple tarantulas. I suppose I'll always have some kind of reptile as long as I can care for it.

Ha ha great question I have wondered the same!! Me I'm 28 love all types of animals. My mom was a vet so she would always bring me some needy animal to nurse back to life!! Always fascinated with lizards but never actually "wanted" one. Now I'm hooked! They are worse then drugs and more expensive lol!!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
