How old before eggs start coming?

I wasn't sure if this would be better off here or in health or somewhere else, so please move if needed. My girl is roughly 7 months old now, and putting on the weight like she thinks I'm going to stop feeding her. I have noticed her "digging" at the tile in her cave lately, but usually only before her 'naps' or right before bed. I'm not really concerned at this point, but it made me realize I have no idea when I should expect her to become gravid (with infertile eggs of course, never had any contact with another dragon since I've had her). Is right around 1 year accurate? Also curious as to what behaviors I should keep an eye out for to indicate she will need some place to lay. Thank you!

Not all females will lay infertile eggs. It seems to be hit or miss.

Whenever they reach sexual maturity, is when they can start laying infertile eggs. 8mo-1year seems to be about where most females fall into puberty. But it varies greatly, just like with humans.

If she is gravid, before she lays she will start to poop a lot. Like multiple times a day and they will be very tiny poops. The poop will get down to just a little puddle basically.
When Miss Buddy is gravid, she will run around like crazy for a couple weeks, scratch a lot. Her colors get bright but her beard gets dark. She will start to poop a lot and then I place her in her sandbox until she lays. Which gets tricky because you can put them in a sandbox and they will start to dig and then change their mind. It drives me crazy. I can put her in the sandbox several time a day for days before she actually lays her eggs.

So.. watch out for high activity and poop, lots of poop!
