HOW MUCH!?!?!?!?!?!?

First of all.... how many crickets should i feed my beardie?
he is about 10 - 11 inches long and eats a decent amount of collard greens in the morning
he eats about 10 - 12 small crickets, but after he eats about seven or eight crickets, he will wait until a cricket is close and then eat it - instead of chasing after them
----is this normal or am i not feeding him enough?---

i have a 100w neodymium uva bulb
a 15w uvb bulb - reptisun
all in a 40 gallon breeder
the temps are - 80 on the cold side
87 on the hot side and 97 on the basking spot

Hello!

Actually I just found out that the Reptisun 10.0 is a 15w and so are all the other ones. But if you don't have the 10.0 get it. Also maybe raising the temps on the basking spot to 100 to 110 might help too... when they get hot enough they are hungrier. I just changed my UVB light last night and my dragon instantly sprung into action and ran around her home. With the cricket feeding, they say feed them as much as they can eat in 15 minutes. Also im going to add that when they wait for the cricket to come to them, that necessarily does not mean they arent hungry. They usually stop eating when they are full but more the fact that they are lazy. Mine does the same thing good thing crickets arent the brightest crickets and run in a line toward the beardie.

Lol I agree with you bjvolk2. Mine does the same thing. She's so lazy.
