How much to feed?

My son's BD is almost 4 months old. We got him at 3 months. He seems to be eating A LOT. My husband is concerned that we are over feeding him. We have been following the guideline of letting him eat as much as he will in 15min. When he get's finished eating his belly is huge!

He gets fed twice a day and has been eating btwn 50-90 small dubia roaches a day plus small amounts of kale. We have put other salad ingredients in but he likes the kale best. He gets fed in the morning and in the evening and has access to salad all day. Is this normal? Should we continue letting him eat as much as he wants in 15min? He is going to break the bank at this rate!

Your feeding schedule sounds good. It's normal for them to go through a TON of bugs during growth spurts. This is when most people realize that buying the crickets in bulk online or having a large dubia colony on hand is necessary. The growth will level out after a while and appetite will decrease with it so don't despair. It sounds like you have a happy healthy dragon =)

OK, I'm still paranoid about this. We saw a friends BD yesterday who is almost a year old. It was a female and ours is a male but she wasn't much bigger than our 4 month old guy. I told them how much Scorch is eating and they said it was a lot more than their bd ate.

Scorch's belly bulges when he gets done. I just don't want him to be unhealthy because we somehow overfed him.
