Hi Folks,
I need help with Lizzie, she is a 8 year old beardie. Last year she was gravid for the first time. She does not lay well and that started us down a slippery slope, and several trips to our help vet. She ended up going into broomination on the light side, finished in mid Feb, but still refused to eat her veggies, but would take super worms, and Dubi roaches. Then she went gravid 3 weeks ago and stopped eating all together. 10 days ago she became very wobbly on her feet ( looks drunk), so back to the vet we went. She is on calcionate syrup 0.8 ml 2X day, 0.16 ml baytril daily, I am syringe feeding sweet potatoes/ appe/ carrot organic baby food and chicken a couple of times a day. At this point she is skin and bones?. I'm not sure she's going to make it, but I want to give her the best chance possible.
Set up: she has a125 gal viv with 2 100w basking bulbs, a reptisun 10.0 UVB( replaced every 6 mo). BASKING AREA IS 105 degrees, with lots of places to cool off, and slate caves to hide in. She currently has a large pan of sand & soil mix, but is not interested in using it. Over the last 10 days she has laid 18 eggs a few at a time. The floor of her tank is carpet, of vinyl so it's east to clean. She has a warm tub every other day (15min).
Question How much baby food and how often should I feed her? Currently 5 ml 2-3 times a day. I had a scare earlier in the week I think I pushed too much and she threw up( scary for both of us).
Lizzy and I thank you for any help, as do her beardie buddies Sage 3/ male, and Spriggs 9/female.

Hello,

I am sorry Lizzie isn't doing well! What is the diagnosis exactly, liver or kidney issues?
It sounds like the egg laying is really zapping her. Poor girl, but the liquid calcium should
hopefully help her out.
The baby food should help out. Maybe cut back to 3mls each feeding so it reduces the chance
of choking. Will she not willingly lick any food off of her nose, or do you have to get her mouth
open to syringe it into her mouth?
Do you have any pictures you could post for us, along with the tank setup?
Be sure to keep her warm overnight, around 80, to help boost her immune system.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
