How many UVA/B strip lights in viv?

Hi folks,

Our bd will be moving to his larger viv soon, and I was wondering about the two strip light fittings we have in it. We will be fitting a repti-sun 10.0 (as he has now in the smaller one) and I thought about a normal strip light in the second mounting to brighten the viv up... but would there be any harm, or use in having two Repti-sun 10.0 UVA/B strip lights instead of the one? I just think, if there's no point, it's not worth the expense, but if there is, we don't mind fitting the two... but then worry it might be too much?

How big is the new viv, and how long is the new striplight? How close will your dragon be able to get to it? I think 1 UVB tube, and another non-uv tube would be the better setup. However, if your new enclosure is rather large, or your dragon will be unable to get close to the lights, then perhaps two would be better. Would need to know the cage specifics before commenting further.

He'll be able to get within 12 inches with his basking spot easily, and the strip runs the length (both strips - so perhaps it would be a little overkill). It's 67 gallon, not sure about measurements apart from length, which is 48inches/121cm.

I think your right, one UVA/B strip and one light strip will be best.
