Hello,

I have been using Superworms as a staple for the last year or so since Phoenix refuses to eat anything and has no interest in Crickets (he is at least 22" long & about 4 years old)). Lately he seems to be starving, when I open his door he thinks my finger is a worm and tries to jump out. How many Superworms can he have in a day/week? Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I am not entirely sure of the answer to this as it may depend on the particular dragon in question. How many are you feeding in a day now? Maybe increase the quantity by 1 per day and see his reaction. Meaning if he doesn't seem to think your fingers are his feeders anymore then you might have the quantity accurate. During this time of exploration I would recommend at least 3 baths a week. Making sure he is passing them is the key aspect.

I however am not speaking from personal experience, I may be wrong on this so a second opinion may be your best bet.

He gets 4-5 per day every 2 days or so and then he gets his fresh veggies everyday but he doesn't always eat them.

My Plate, 1.5 yrs, 16 inches long only eats superworms also, won't touch anything else except Horm worms.
I can't afford them very often. He did take a small fuzzy F/T mouse yesterday. I feed him 5-6 super per day.
Bath him 3 X per week, and poops in the bath water.

No more than 30-35 or so a week. Dudley gets 7 every other day, and if he is still hungry he needs to eat his salad.

BTW, mice of any size are absolutely horrible for bearded dragons. :| I really wouldn't give him any more.

Only time a pinkie may be acceptable is if you have a gravid female that won't eat anything else to put the weight back on after laying her clutch. Still then I would suggest hornworms for that. Males never have a need for mice.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
