How many repti worms should my bearded dragon eat?

I just placed a order for 1000 repti worms, how long should they last me feeding one bearded dragon? How many should a juvenile eat in one day, or a adult eat in one day? How many greens etc? Should 1000 repti worms last me a long time? Can I always feed him repti worms and no crickets? as long as i give him greens?? crickets stink really bad lol!

How big are the ReptiWorms you ordered? As for the salad just make him a salad in the morning before you go to school/work and leave it for him, then when you get home replace the salad with some fresh salad. You can pre-make salad and store them in air-tight bags in your refrigerator, if you're short for time in the mornings/afternoons. You can use ReptiWorms as a staple if you wish, in my opinion, this is easier and better than crickets because you don't necessarily have to dust the black soldier fly larvae because of their high calcium. The breeder I talk to on occasion recommends black soldier fly larvae and roaches over crickets any day. Just put a bunch of them in a dish for your beardie and watch him eat and count how many he eats for each feeding. Keep a log of his feeding times and quantities to find the perfect balance for your dragon! :mrgreen:

You can use the worms a couple of different ways. You can use them every other day if you want in addition to greens. Most adult dragons eat between 25-35 at a time of the large size (of course we have some piggies who eat 50+), so most likely up to 50 of the medium. juveniles will eat 20-30 of the mediums. So if you feed every other day the 1,000 should last you awhile. Of course there is nothing wrong with feeding them every day and making them your staple bug.

So feeding juvies once every other day is fine?Or once a day or what the feeding thing has me confused cause there is so much different opinions and suggestions out there. I thought they needed more for their growing needs? but im a noob and dont know much about them yet lol so what do I know. My little guy has been going through crickets like no bodies business, hes getting more expensive then are dogs haha fattie! So if I could get these worms and feed him less that would be freaking fabtabulous.

I would feed every day as you want him to grow. You can do every other day it will just take him longer to grow.

For juvies you want to feed them more (2 - 3 meals a day). When Angie was younger, I'd put a fresh salad in her viv first thing in the morning along with a small dish with PW's in it (as many as 50). Then when I got home after work, I fed her crickets and sometimes a 3rd meal of hornworms or silkworms.

I like the PW's because they don't seem to get away like most other things (supers are really good at getting out of dishes), crix I won't leave alone in the viv with her and horns/silks - didn't leave either.

ok so I will continue to do what I was doing and keep feeding him twice a day. I feed him crickets in the morning before school and then at 6 with crickets again, but i think im going to mix it up and do the worms in the morning then crickets at 6.
