How many phoenix worms for an adult dragon?

Hello everyone!

I was wondering how many phoenix worms to feed an adult dragon? I just ordered 100 large because West Coast Roaches was running a deal on them and Kenny has never tried them! I'm pretty excited I heard you do not have to dust them because they have calcium already.

Kenny is currently getting crickets two times a week, 40 large each time. He is also getting 3-5 superworms on his veggie days. His veggies consist of dandelion greens, collard greens, mustard greens, green beans, and yellow squash. He also gets bits of banana, apple, peach, and pineapple when I eat them!

I am working on my roach colony so I don't have to feed Kenny those stinky, nasty crickets anymore! While I'm here....how many medium roaches do I feed him once the colony gets going?

Any advice would be awesome. Thank you!!!

He could most likely eat the whole thing. My 9 inch beardie ate 30 in 15 minutes and that was only the morning feeding.

If its an adult you shouldn't be feeding so many crickets a week. He should be eating around 50 crickets a week so 7-8 crickets plus a salad a day should work better.

As for the Phoenix you can feed around 60-65 large worms a week. You only need to dust multivitamin 2 times a week.

Since this post I have cut back on crickets and increased his veggies. I think he was eating a lot more crickets early on because he was fattening himself up from being underweight before I got him. Kenny was a rescue. He is up to weight now! He was a spoiled boy for a while. Now he only gets 50 crickets a week.

I am still working on that roach colony. How many roaches do you think an adult should eat?

No more than 50 per week. Also you want them to be no bigger than the size between your dragons eyes.
