How many Phoenix worms a day?

I have acquired a six year old overweight beardie and am
about to order Phoenix worms for her so she can have bugs every day and I can gut load them with veggies and stuff (she's really difficult about eating her salads, I have to feed them to her at 1 and then at 6 and give her 3 super worms because she won't eat crickets because they're too fast for her and you basically have to put food in front of her face on tweezers for her to eat it.) I figured I could trick her with the worms, still offer her salad first and then worms but how many worms per feeding, how long do they last, worm housing etc?

Hi there, if the dragon s overweight then you can just feed it small amounts of insects every 2-3 days rather than 2-3 X a day. Phoenix worms are quite small compared to other feeder insects so you might offer her 7-8 large ones at a time but focus on veggies instead of insects. If you use crickets, only 3-4 large at a time at the most, same with other similar sized insects so that she can get used to eating salad rather than bugs as a staple and hopefully help her to lose some weight. Let he run around a safe area before feedings to get exercise. If it's in the house, check that there are no small objects like coins, rubber bands, anything they can get their mouth on they may swallow very quickly.

Someone else can tell you about housing the phoenix worms, I don't use them for my beardies.
