How many hours of UVB?

I am converting my bedroom into a lizard playground. I have a lovely basking area set up with the UVB light but he only spends about 5 hours there versus the rest of the room.

How should I go about making sure he gets enough UVB?

I haven't noticed any health issues thus far.

He gets some sunlight most days but the winter is coming and it's too cold for him to be outside. What should I do?

As long as you have an area that provides adequate UVB exposure, he should self regulate.
