How long without eating??

I've just apoted a bearded dragon for my son (and me) and I filled him up with crickets and that gel like stuff that last awhile and water. I had a miner hiccup and won't make it home until tomorrow (Monday, may 22nd) and we left Friday night. We were supposed to be back that night or early Saturday. Is he going to be okay??? He ate a TON of crickets- I think around 10-12 and I left a handful in his cage when I left. I've had snakes, iguanas, alligator briefly and chameleons. ... all rescues and or from an ex. I've never purchased any of my critters. But I know nothing about these guys. I was told today that they have to eat everyday, twice a day. Is this true??

ANY INFORMATION would help! It was very last minute and I hadn't really had time to research them more. But HOW LONG WITHOUT EATING is all I need to know now.

Hello,

How old is the dragon?
If he is under 6 months, they do need to eat several times a day. I realize it's hard when you go somewhere & are not back when expected. Be careful leaving crickets in the tank because they can bite him overnight. So check for any wounds, etc when you get home. Hopefully he just ate them.
What gel stuff did you feed him, or are you referring to the cricket gel/water for the crickets?
He can go a few days but he is going to be pretty hungry when you get home!

They really need to eat everyday. Who is turing his lights on and off? Can a neighbor or friend come and feed him?

Also - 10-12 is not a ton. Babies should be eating 30+ crickets a day, up to 60 or more even.
