How Long Does Coccidia/Giardia Live Outside The Body

My bearide, Angelo, is finally healthy again-no coccidia or giardia, no diarrhea, and I have a brand new setup for him with a nice hammock and a large half log he likes to sleep in. He's eating plenty of crickets and greens (sometimes he wants crickets more than greens, sometimes greens more than crickets) and he's about an adult now (1 year 1/2 old). I have some old tank equipment that I took out a little over 6 months ago and was wondering if any remnants of giardia or coccidia are on it. I know it's been a long time since he had contact with them, but I want to make sure because it was very hard to get him healthy again and I hope he stays that way for as long as possible.

Get some ammonia and clean it with that. Ammonia is the only thing that will kill Coccidia.. or give it a really good steam clean with a steamer (if you have one).. Anything that you can bake in the oven, you can do that too. 275 degrees for 50 minutes. Better to be safe than sorry!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
