How long does a winter slow down last

Just wondering how long a winter slow down will last. Stubs is 7 months old and has slowed down on his food intake, he might eat 10 dubias all day, or about 5 super worms, doesn't normally touch his salad but yesterday he did pick out all the butternut squash from his salad. He is still gaining weight so he's not losing any. This has been going on for about 3 weeks. Just wondering how much longer this is going to go......

I wish I could give you an answer, normally once warmer weather in spring starts and we can get them out in real sunshine, that normally starts their appetite again. At least he's not losing weight, I have to hand feed 3 of mine and Rubio is on babyfood and Carnivore Care as he won't eat regular dragon food since he woke up from brumation. I'm hoping this stops soon for both of us and alot of other people that are worried about their dragons, too. At least Stubs is still eating, even though it's not as much as usual

Yeah I try not to worry and I was trying to let it go....but I finally broke down to ask cause it has been killing me! lol. Yeah he does eat just not much at all some days nothing other days a few bugs here and there, the one day he picked all the butternut squash out of his dish, at least Baby is still an eating machine, Baby loves his food, he even eats some salad everyday!!

I'm glad he's eating, his appetite will come back as big as it was once spring gets here, maybe even before. Beardies are affected by barometric pressure, I've noticed, so that would be a factor, too. Even beardies in Florida & other warm states are being affected! It's a strange time of year and I really don't like it!

me either!!! I hope he gets back to normal soon....I live in Michigan so it is still pretty cold here! He is still active when out of his viv running around threatening to bite my Chihuahua , and all I can do is put some food in his tank and leave it all day and hope he eats something even if it is just a few dubia, I wish I had some horn worms as he never turns down those, but I don't I have some butter worms but to him they are NOT the same, but Baby likes them...eh who am I kidding Baby likes everything! Picky Stubs.....

At least Stubs has energy, which is a good sign. This time of year really gets me, too, I'm so hoping for an early spring so my guys can get outside in sunshine, that always makes them feel better. Another thing I did was get Acidophiluz, which they all get daily and it's helped them eat more and also has given them alot of energy. I was amazed. I've also ordered some Electrolytes, seems it helps give them energy as well as help them hydrate better.

Yeah I just had Stubs out and mixed up some squash baby food a little water and some calcium powder and gave him some of that he ate a little and I put him back in his viv a few mins ago in front of his bowl of dubia.....he is still standing there but hopefully he will eat some, well he just walked to his salad and took a bite....we'll see.
