How long do crickets last during shipping?

Hi! I recently ordered crickets on Monday from Armstrong.com. It's now Thursday and they're not here. From what I'm reading on other sites, I'm about to get 1000 dead crickets, right? The temps have been dropping low at night lately and I just keep hoping they'll come in. This is my first time ordering crickets online for my new beardie. What to do? What should I expect?

well, crickets will last a little while in the shipping container if the temperatures are ok and the cricket company put something in there for them to eat. I have all my crickets shipped overnight and I make sure there is someone there to accept the package(I'm actually having them shipped to my work), you don't want them sitting in the cold on your doorstep, they will die.

I have a bad feeling you're correct, you're going to get a package with 1000 dead crickets if you do, I would contact the company, they should know enough not to ship them that way...

Yeah so now its Friday and still no crickets. I selected 2 day shipping. So either they messed up when shipping it or the shipping company did. Either way, no crickets. I guess ill have to wait til Monday now my poor beardie didn't have any crickets today. I'll just have to go pay an arm and a leg for them at petco tomorrow

they didn't give you a tracking number? I don't think I'd use that company again. I've had very good luck with the company I use. http://www.millbrookcrickets.com
