Im contemplating on whether to build stackable enclosures for my 2 beardies that i can seperate later on or build them as one piece. my plans were to build them out of 3/4'' birch and make a stand for them to sit on, but my concern is that since the crossfire build that i would be going off of doesnt have any kind of framing around it. so im not sure if stacking them on top of one another would be a good idea or would they be fine. I want to know how everyones enclosures are holding up and how long you have had them built for. my brother that is helping me doesnt think that wood glue or liquid nails along with 2inch wood screws will keep the enclosure together.

I've recently completed my second DIY, my first was a huge 4X2X2 in 5/8 plywood, the beast is massive and very solid, I would not hesitate to stack anything on top of it.

My second build was a 2 story viv, they are fix though, cannot move them apart, not quite what our planning, I'd be interested in seeing how yours turn out though.

And don't worry, I've added a few things in there viv since this pic, not as sparse

My Uncle and I built my Enclosure Using Birch Wood, Birch Trim, Tight Bond Premium Wood Glue, Tack Nail Gun, Stain, Sealer and 2-Part Epoxy. And The way we Built it, it is very Light even with a built in Stand, and it should Last me my Entire Life without having to do any Maintenance to it.
But I know Melemine(SP?) Would Not last as long as Birch Will.

I haven't had a Good Camera around to Upload Pictures of it being Finished yet, but it Look's Amazing and my Beardie Love's it.

We Stanied it 3 Different Color's, Sealed it, then Used 2-Part Epoxy on the Inside to make it actually water proof, I could use it as a Fish tank if I wanted. Lol Well if it had thicker Glass, but you get the point. xD

Mine is stained, and has vinyle wallpaper/siding in the inside, not waterproof as the other poster but does the job

I have No Idea what Brand we used, my Uncle Own's a Car Paint & Body Shop, and he''s a Handy Man as well and Build's his own Custom Dresser's, Cabinets, ect, so he had a Huge box of Different Stain's in his shop and we used them. We used a Light Brown as the Base Color, then Black Swirl's on the Inside, the Red inside the Black Line's, kind of like a Stain "Camo" or as my Uncle Called it, "Lizard Camo" Lol But It doesn't really look like Camo but that's the best way I can think to Describe it.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
