How I clean my BD poop step by step

I guess I'm lucky. When Sweetie was 6 mo old, we trained her to swim. She had the beginning of MBD in her back legs and swimming would help with not only exercise, but with the proper medicine and exercise, the MBD was stopped. she still doesn't stand well on her rear legs, but they are stronger now than they were. To this day Sweetie swims the length of our bathtub, Swims a bit more against the wall of the bathtub, then poops and she outta there, in a flash, get me out! Then it nap time.

Lonzo on the other hand, is just recently adopted (1 mo ago) and he was careful to get off what towell, board, and poops beside it. He doesn't poop every day, but he has poops in bathtub a couple of times, so I'm hopeful he'll get into that habit, too. It's easier to deal with and it's not in the tanks at all, so that's also a plus.

But for beardies who want to poop in thair tank, that step by step works well. Thanks for the instruction, the pics sure tell the tale! Thanks

So yesterday not 5 minutes after I did my weekly thorough cleaning of Dexter's viv, Dex left a monster poop on his basking rock... confirmation that I'd jinxed myself. So I cleaned his rock again and put a paper towel folded into quarters in the spot that he "used" to go poop in all the time... and yay! :blob5: Dex just left me a present on the paper towel!!! :blob5: Hubby was funny yesterday though when he asked what the paper towel was for and I told him I was trying to "paper train" Dex... He said "Dex, it's your house, you can poop where ever you want to." (You can tell he doesn't take care of the cleaning can't you.)

Haha! :D I feel like I'd get basically the same response from my boyfriend, were I to mention paper training.
In his defense though, our beardies are not messy at all. They've never even yet run through the poop at all, let alone painted walls with it. :silent:

Wow, that's funny. Blaze goes wherever she wants to go. On her basking rock, her favorite climbing branch, on the floor. Doesn't matter. Our savannah, Esham, goes in his water. It's great, much healthier, IMO.

I wish I could train Turbo to go in a specific spot! He goes wherever he happens to be sitting at the time. And then he drags his little bum a few inches to make sure he gets it off of him. Its pretty funny, because he takes that extra effort to be clean but then he has no problem walking through it if it is in his way.

my beardie poops on his basking rock which she uses for pooping and pooping only so could ij ust put paper towel on the rock then do the same thing since she basks in the hammock?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
