Hi, I just wanted to show everybody how I clean my Beardie 'Sammy" poop. First, knowing that he likes to poop on the same spot I always put a small stack of napkins and he uses them as toillete. This is the hole thing step by step.

Isn't it just delightful to have a beardie that you can potty train.
Makes caring or should I say cleaning up after them so much easier.
Zak-n-Wheezie are potty trained to go on a paper towel too.
Everyone else goes in the bath, except Checker's who thinks he has to
hold it until he goes for a ride in my car. :bleick:

Mine actually started going to that corner by himself but you can start by placing paper towel all over the floor of the tank for a couple of weeks and then start minimizing the paper area gradually until you leave a small potty area at the other end of the tank(cooler area). Try that an let me know if it works.

Best regards,
Chris Jackson(Sammys dad).

Interesting. I know my Panther Gecko goes in the same spot all the time which reminds me I need to clean it. She likes to poop behind her cave.

My BD likes to go at the base of his "tree". The thing he uses to climb up to his hammock.

So, if you see that he goes to the same place everytime try to reset the furniture in the tank so you can make that area as a potty area. It might work.

lol it could be the fact that i have not slept yet for a while but the transition from pic 1 beardie to pic 2 poop made me laugh.

Very neat!

Six artists? Arrrgggghhh! Fortunately, not all of mine are fingerpainters, but three are quite artistic! Fingers, toes, tails, whatever is available! But we still love our little artists!

your little artists sound neat and reserved. mine are the artistic type who cover themselves in .... 'paint' and lunge themselves at a canvas. their whole underside is stained to the point were im there in the sink scrubbing with old tooth brushes, and if im late home from work its dried between there toes.. :puke:

I think I jinxed myself, after reading about Zak & Weezie being potty trained, I told my husband that it wouldn't be hard to train Dex as he always goes in the same spot in his viv (in front of his basking rock). Go figure, later that day, he pooped on his basking rock and the next day he pooped behind his basking rock. I'm currently using repti carpet, and planning to switch to tile, but maybe I'll try to put some small paper towel squares where he "usually" goes and see if I can start paper training him... would sure make clean up a lot easier!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
