How do you tell which are male Dubia's?

Other than the wings when full grown. I want to move all my adults to a new container and weed out all my extra males. How old are the males when they get their wings? And how can you tell which are males right before they get their wings?

roughly 5 to 6 months when they get their wings....depending on temp etc.

Male on left, female on right. This works with even the smallest dubia as long as your eyes are good enough to see the detail!

Okay, this might sound dumb but other than the black going up higher on one than the other, I don't really see any diiference.

What is it exactly that shows the difference?

the last segmant is bigger in the female if you notice the last 2 segments on the male cover the black area on the male
