how do you tell age? and they wont eat pellets

i got two beardies from my local pet store yesterday and i got the food and everything...but i dont know how old they are? is there anyway to tell? i know that the pet shop took good care of them they are the best at caring for the animals. so if size can be an indicator let me know because i know that they are healthy ...also the pet shop always gave them crickets but i bought juvenile pellets with freeze dried insects in it. but they wont touch it one wont even look at it and the other only picks out the bugs.. how can i get them to eat the pellets also i really want to make sure that they get a really good full variety diet. thanks for any info you can give.

If they were always fed crickets, then they already have a tendency to eat crickets. There are also other alternative live feeders, phoenix worms/reptiworms, silkworms, just to name a couple. There is also a dusting schedule for them at the top of the page. I suggest to follow the schedule.

About the age it is hard to tell unless you could get in touch with the breeder who supplied them to the pet store. Other then that is it just a guess, as all dragons grow at their own individual rate. How long are they from nose to tail tip?

To get mine to eat pellets I usually mix them in with his salad, Then I squeeze a few grapes over it so they soak up the grape juice and taste a little more appetizing. He will pick them out even to eat sometimes.
