With the summer squash I just cut it into circular slices, cut them in half, then chop them up into small worm shapes and sprinkle it on salad. You can also scrape them against the big holes on a grater box and that works pretty well too. I've found it is a bit sloppier though. For spaghetti squash and pumpkin I just scrape the inside with a fork and put the pieces on top of a salad. Acorn squash goes the same way if I remember correctly but it's been a while since I've offered that. The key is to make it look like little worms on top of a salad. That seems to attract the most attention.
