Well im tired of feeding my bearded dragon the dead crickets in the can! So i decided i will start buying crickets ONLINE so i can get some good bulk deals, The space between my beardies eyes is about 1 inch. I want the crickets to be able to live for a month or longer and i will be ordering 1000 of them. So basically i am wanting to know what size i need to get for them to be able to live longer then a month? And how do i HOUSE THEM?!?!?!?! It would be great if you could provide a pic with the way you house your crickets but any help would be great thank you =)

Also Can you please give me some cheap websites to buy crickets from so far I have found LLLREPTILE and Expresscrickets.com to be the cheapest

put them in a rubber maid box and cut out a hole in the top and glue a screen over the hole and do it on the sides to and put random junk inside the box but you have to have the screen's on it because the lack of ventilation will kill them vary easily. also they dont like light so keep them in a worm dark room. they tend to die if you dont and once a week go threw and take out all the dead ones it will keep the smell down

That is the same way I keep mine as well. More ventilation and less Trapped Humidity... THE BETTER.

TIP: Most Bug Farms ship with a Raw Potatoe as hydration and most people use a fresh one for continued hydration as well.... in addition, most people will seek assitance that over the years their bearded dragon has lost interest in the insect. I have found that replacing the RAW POTATOE with a fresh Orange CUT IN HALF sweetens the cricket 10x more than a bland potatoe.... The Crix stay interested in devouring the fruit and stay more hydrated... And the best reward is when your Dragon NEVER gets tired of the monotony of being fed Crickets on a daily Basis.

**** Always important to Gutload your Crickets and dust them with a D3 Calcium Dust Suppliment prior to feeding them to your Dragon as well!

Welcome. You are wise to buy in bulk :)
See my avatar, that is how I house crickets, it was winter in that picture so they needed an additional heat source or two. Lots of ventilation on the lid, glass on the tank, line the top of the tank with tape so they can't climb as easy. I have not used crickets in years though, thankfully as they are somewhat noisy and higher maintenance than other feeders. I think a month is a long time to expect crickets to live considering their growth rate and a hungry little mouth you have to feed.

I keep mine in a 10 gallon aquarium w/a screen lid. There are egg crates in there and two halves of a paper towel tube. We have two pieces of paper towel on the bottom as a substrate. On the other side of the tank we have an orange cut up into quarters and I have a shallow Tupperware lid full of dry cat food in the middle. Every day during 'cricket time' we take out any dead ones we see and we change the orange slices about every other day. Every couple days I completely empty out the tank and clean it. It has kept the smell and the number of dead ones down to a minimum.

Hope that helps!

P.S. I think the crickets are more work than the dragon!!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
