I bought a couple of used tanks this weekend. Both of them have tube light fixtures. I usually use MV bulbs and domes, but since I have them I figured I'd use them. One tank is a 20 gal long and the other is a 40 gal breeder. Both have screen mesh tops, the 40 gal have a split hinge type cover. It is cramped with the dome heat lamp.... So I wanted to try and put the UVB tubes inside the enclosures. Safely, with out the possibility of the fixture falling.
I wanted some ideas on how to do it. One is a fish tank type light fixture. The other is a white plastic one. I thought about hanging metal off the side and placing them on top, but that would interfere with the lids. And that was as far as my ideas went
I noticed in the viv pic section a lot of people managed to get them in there, but I didn't find out how. I saw some people on another thread suggested kitty cornering the UVB, but I feel like the dragon wont be able to get as much UVB since it will be basking so much under the heat bulb. Do they still get enough??
The bulbs are 10.0 reptisun's.
