How do you do?

Hi! I'm the proud owner of two bearded dragons. Drake and Puff! Drake is about 15 inches and puff is at 18!
I was just browsing BD foorums for some help and advise on feeding/eating and liked a lot of what I was reading on here, so I decided to join your group and hope to meet some nice people and help out when I can and get some help when I need I'm happy to be here, and hope you're happy to have us :mrgreen:

Okay.. i've just done some looking around on here and whatnot. First let me say I really really love your pics and everyones beardies looks wonderful.
I wanted to give another quick rundown on my dragons.
My friend had a friend who's brother 'raised' them, or should I say, he was trying/learning..
As I was reading I saw where someone asked if a beardie had all his toe's or had any nubs. Both my dargons have lost the end of the tail. Puff has lost all but one on her left hand, and drake is missing all his back on the left side. Pretty much this kid had a tote box full of bearded dragons and was trying to get rid of them at the pet store, but they didn't want to take them and try to sell em' b/c of the nubs. I had no idea about BD or how to care for them but I took the two, and the girl w/ me took two babies. The babies now live with my sister and she too is learning and trying to be a good BD mom!

I started them off together in a tank... and thought what was cute "hugging" and "being pals" was really one being dominet over the other one. Their what I thought was 'play time' was now fighting! They have been taken out of the same tank, and each have a big one now. I no longer use sand either. I'll be first to admit, i'm probably not the best BD owner, but i'm trying very hard. Ive got great ideas on here when I was looking at pictures of the homes. If my BD's saw the pics of some of these bd' homes, mine would be very very jealous. I'll ask prices and whanot in the right place, but I def will work my way up to some great tanks. I just wanted to give the "nutshell" story of my babies! ..i'm off to read some more :lol:

Sorry that no-one had replied until I did. The weekends tend to be the slower days here on the forums.
Mondays thru Thursdays seem to be the busiest days.

I'm looking forward to seeing your beardies!

Dont worry there is a lot of learning when it comes to dragons because there is so much false information out there. I am going through the learning curve myself. But the fact that you are here reading about dragons and learning and willing to make changes makes you a great beardie owner.

And I think that all of us are still learning (ok...well I am still learning) and that being here is half the battle. I am new to the site as well...and I have been reading for days now I have had an adult beardie (Harry) for a couple of years now...and had bought a book and spent all the time reading it. But even still...I have now read stuff on here that I think...geez I am lucky poor Harry is still alive I found this site because I just got a new baby and figured there was more to raising a baby than an adult...and I have gotten help/advice about caring for my new baby...so I think this site is great!!

Mondays thru Thursdays seem to be the busiest days.

Barbara - I didn't know that about the weekends...I have been checking in all day today hoping to see lots of new posts and it has been so slow. I have been scouring these boards all week...and they were busy all week....so sad

Awesome, and I feel that way too, I mean i'm lucky my dragons are alive when it comes to some of the things I read do's and don'ts. Over all I think I do a very good job. I try to provide the best for them as much as I can. And I feel bad b/c I do have one I favor a lil more. Not even to be mean but b/c hes so much fun. and everyone who sees him will say wow, ive never seen such a cool dragon before. hes just amazing tahts all.

As far as new post and such, you will mostly always see me here, and if im not here all you hve to do if your looking for someone to talk w/ is send me a msg, and my email will tell me its there, and ill be back ina jiffy. i work at home from my computer so im always browsing

Cool....I have my own pet sitting business so I am pretty flexible too...and tend to have chunks of time through out the day when I can browse.
