How do I know if he hurt himself?

OMG I just had a heart attack. I took Zilla out of his cage for some snuggle time before night night and the booger took a flying leap! Holy cow! I was in the kitchen pouring a glass of wine and he crawled up my arm to my shoulder where he usually stays for a bit. Before I knew it, he LEAPED off my shoulder and landed on the ceramic tile with a loud THWACK! That must've been about five feet! (I'm 5'7")

Has that happened to anyone else? How do I know if he broke something? A rib? A leg?

One terrible time we were all sitting at the table chit chatting. I was holding Faf and he got onto the table, slowly...then suddenly made a mad dash for the other side and didn't stop! So, I know that thwack you are talking about! It was awful sounding, but he didn't seem to have any repercussions. It wasn't as far of a fall, but hopefully your story will turn out well, as ours did.

It was the same way with our experience, right before bed. I feel like we were interrogating him right after it happened: Does it hurt when I lift your leg? Does your tummy hurt? Can your eyes follow my finger?
We gave him the third degree! Seriously, I bet all will be well in the morning. Like nothing ever happened!

Wow I hope Zilla is ok my yesturday was my first day with Noodle and she pooped in her cage so I had her on my bed while I was cleaning her cage and putting paper towels down for now when all of a sudden she leaped off my bed and landed on my carpet. She seems to be fine this was around 12 and it was almpst 13 hours ago so I think she is fine but scared me to death she hurt something

I hope Zilla is ok. It is amazing how fast they can be. Mine have taken a couple of big dives; they seem to be able to handle it. I am not sure what makes them take their running leaps. I know it is possible for them to break limbs when they do it. Watch for swelling, and other signs of injury, but more than likely Zilla will be fine, especially if you did not notice any tenderness before you put him to bed.

Well, so far so good this morning. He climbed up on to his tree after he woke up and when he got warm I let him out to run around and he seemed perfectly ok. Phew! That's a relief. I'll keep a close watch on him for a couple days tho. And he ate a roach today which he hasn't touched in months......

Boba Fett jumps constantly. He climbs down my back to my son and jumps, most the time missing, towards him! The first couple of times he hit the floor I freaked out! Now I just pick him up, check him over make sure nothing is hurt, and give him to my son. Figure he just loves his boy more than me! :lol:

Zero keeps getting more courageous. Before it would take him a few minutes of pacing before deciding to jump, now it's an almost instant decision. He jumps and crawls towards the couch and his viv. It's about that time I figure he's cold and I put him back, which is when he protests :lol:
