I'm about to go pick up my first shipment of reptiworms from the post office. I have read a few posts on here about cooling/room temp and feeding stuff, but what type of container should I keep them in? I have a smallish rubbermaid or a 10 gallon aquarium I could use, just wasn't sure what would work best.

TIA

They store well in the containers they come in at room temp for a couple of weeks, any longer then that, they very likely be turning into flies.

Since it is winter, when you get your shipment, they may not seem to be moving at all appearing dead. Let the container they come in warm up for a couple of hours then check on them again.

If you need to keep them for more then a couple of weeks, you can cool/store them for a couple of months at a time in a small wine fridge which should be between about 50F - 60F.

If cooled I don't think you will need to feed them as their bodies will have slowed down to the point they are nearly completely inactive.

Yea, I thought so too at first... but that's also why they became my staple feeder.

I'll give you a hint with what I do with mine

I use a sand scoop like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-Repto-Litter-Scoop/dp/B001F9CVDO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1295547116&sr=8-3

grab what I'm going to feed and put into the scoop and shake it over the sink. This quickly knocks off most of the bedding that is on them and then dump right from the scoop into the feeding dish.

Makes it real easy if I also want to rinse them off first, vita dust them, or anything else I need to do while they are in the scoop, including soaking them to plump them up using it kind of like a french fry frying basket.

If I rinse them, I always dry them. If their outer body is dry, they can not seem to climb out of a smooth dish like the ceramic kidney shaped dish.

Couldn't have said it better myself =)
You can store them in the container they come in and will last for weeks at room temperature.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
